What you can expect from our programs


Boys Practice and Game locations are held at the Paladin Center, Camarda Park, George Fischer Middle School and Patterson Park.  Your son's coach will contact you to let you know where and when practices and games will be.


Boys Kindergarten Clinic:   This program is for players in grades K-2. The emphasis of this program is to have fun and to teach the players the basic skills and rules of the game. 

Practices will be 60 minutes long and will be held once a week, for approximately eight (8) sessions. The program will focus on skills using a stations format and possibly end with scrimmages.

A stick and a jersey will be provided by CRYLAX.

TRAVEL TEAMS:  A uniform will be provided by CRYLAX.  Headgear and any additional equipment will be purchased by the player.

 

Boys 1-2:   This program is for players in grades 1-2.  The emphasis of this program is to have fun and to teach the players the basic skills and rules of the game.  The program will focus on player positioning, ground balls, line drills, throwing, cradling, catching and shooting for goal.

Practices will be held twice a week; each practice will be 90 minutes. The 1/2 season will consist of 8 to 10 games plus one or more jamborees.  Games will be played against other 1/2 travel teams in Putnam, Westchester and Dutchess counties. 

Helmets, shoulder pads and gloves are available for loan at this level, with a $100 refundable deposit. Elbow pads to be provided by parents.


Boys 3-4:   This program is for players in the 3rd and 4th grades during the season of play.  

Practices will be held two (2) to three (3) times per week in the beginning.   Each practice will be 90 to 120 minutes. However, once games begin, practice will be once (1) or twice (2) a week with an additional one (1) or two (2) games per week. The 3/4 season will consist of 10-12 games plus one or more jamborees. Games will be played against other 3/4 travel teams in Putnam, Westchester and Dutchess Counties.

 

Boys 5-6:   This program is for players in the 5th and 6th grades during the season of play.

Practices will be held two (2) to three (3) times per week in the beginning. Each practice will be 90-120 minutes. However, when games begin, practice will be once or twice a week with an additional one-two games per week. The 5/6 season will consist of 10-14 games plus one or more jamborees. Games will be played against other 5/6 travel teams in Putnam, Westchester and Dutchess Counties.

 

Boys 7-8:  This program is for players in the 7th and 8th grades during the season of play. 

Practices will be held one (1) to two (2) times per week for two (2) hours each.  We are trying to avoid conflicts with the Carmel 7/8 GFMS Modified Lacrosse program.  The 7/8 season will consist of 10-14 games plus one or more jamborees. Games will be played against other 7/8 travel teams in Putnam, Westchester and Dutchess Counties.
